MAJOR EXTERNAL DIVERSIONS:
The major challenge of Krishna Pushkaralu in Vijayawada city is to ensure free flow of traffic within and without the periphery of Vijayawada City. The city being centrally located and being a junction point, there will be heavy movement of vehicles to and fro through Vijayawada City. In order to ensure free flow of traffic in the City, major diversions are proposed places in the following manner.
- Multi Axle vehicles (more than 10 tyres) to be diverted at Ongole to proceed via., Addanki – Piduguralla – Miryalaguda – Huzoornagar – Kodad – Khammam – Sathupalli – Devarapalli – Gammon Bridge, Rajahmundry – Visakhapatnam.
- One way route for all vehicles (less than 10 tyres) will be diverted at Ongole towards Chilakaluripet – Parchuru outskirts – Pedanandipadu – Ponnuru – Chandole – Bhattiprolu – Challapalli.

DIVERSIONS CLOSE TO VIJAYAWADA CITY
The traffic coming from Hyderabad can also be diverted at Kanchikacherla towards Alluru ,Peddapuram ,Gangineni and G konduru in case the IBPM ring gets blocked. From there it would go to Kandulapadu cross roads and enter the city from YV RAO estate or can be diverted towards Agiripalli,Nunna to enter the city.
Similarly, the traffic going towards Hyderabad can also be diverted towards Kondapalli from Nallakunta and Guntupalli to avoid the IBPM ring.
The Jakkampudi layout at YV RAO estate going towards Kandulapadu cross roads will divert traffic bound for Hyderabad towards Mylavaram on NH 30 via G Konduru.
For traffic coming from Eluru and beyond, it can be diverted at Hanuman junction towards Nujiveedu Agiripalli and Nunna bypassing Gannavaram.A new road has been laid to bypass Nunna leading to Pipula road in the city.
At Kesarapalli after Gannavram the traffic can go to Mustabad towards Inner ring road bypassing Benz circle.

VEHICULAR TRAFFIC IN VIJAYAWADA CITY:
Only the vehicles of the residence of Vijayawada city will be allowed to ply within the city. For the vehicles coming for Pushkar Purpose, Around 138 parking places are allotted for all sorts of vehicles, from where the Pilgrims can either go by walk or through the free shuttle services which will be provided at all satellite bus stations and Railway stations connecting to all the important Ghats. So as to ensure the transportation of pilgrims from the concerned parking places, 14 (Free Shuttle)bus routes are proposed to cater the needs of Pilgrims getting down at designated Parking Places.

Due to its feasibility to enter to any narrow lanes, traffic jams can be taken care with ease. All the 50 routes will be given a motorcycle which will be manned by 1PC and the men will work in 3 –Shifts and 3-sections.

GENERAL
MOVEMENT OF VEHICLES CARRYING ESSENTIAL COMMODITIES:
There will be a window timing for the vehicles carrying essential commodities i.e 11.00 p.m. to 2.00 a.m. During the remaining time if any vehicle wants to enter into the city, they will be diverted to be parked at 3-places depending the origin.
- Vehicles coming from Hyderabad side will be parked at TRUCK TERMINAL- Ibrahimpatnam.
- Vehicles coming from Eluru side will be parked at USHARAMA ENGG COLLEGE- TELAPROLU.
- 3.Vehicles coming from Machilipatnam side will be parked at Gayatri Layout-Kankipadu.
Note:-
There will be not be any diversion or stoppage of vehicles carrying inflammable material.
PATROLLING TEAMS:
The entire Vijayawada City is divided into 19 zones and 74 sectors. Officers and men are posted in these sectors to regulate the traffic. These zones bandobust is inclusive of Parking Places bandobust, High way Patrolling Bandobust.
MOTOR-CYCLE PATROLLING TEAMS:
Altogether 34 Tango mobiles i.e mobile Patrolling teams are deployed in Various zones which will act as quick response teams which will clear traffic jams if any. Due to its feasibility to enter to any narrow lanes, traffic jams can be taken care with ease. All the 34 routes will be given a motorcycle which will be manned by 1PC and the men will work in 3 –Shifts and 3-sections.
